Pool Renovation in Diamond Springs, CA

Diamond Springs earned its name from the crystal-clear springs that drew Gold Rush settlers, so it is only fitting that the water in your backyard should sparkle just as brightly. This historic corner of El Dorado County mixes older ranch properties with newer homes, and the pools here span every era, from hand-built shells decades old to modern installations on larger rural lots.

Adams Pool & Landscape Specialties serves Diamond Springs with the same care we bring to every foothill community. We understand the mineral-rich well water common on local properties, the summer heat that rolls up from the valley, and the craftsmanship it takes to renovate a pool that may have been in the family for generations.

Why Homeowners in Goe City, CA Trust Us

Debbie N.
Adams Pools made our dream come true. Their pebble finish makes our pool so beautiful. The turquoise color of the water is jaw dropping. The crew that came out were prompt, friendly and very professional. I recommend them to anyone looking for a pebble finish that offers the same quality if not better than Pebble Tec. Our pool looks amazing! Thank you Adams Pool! 🙂

We called Adams pools and made an appointment for Matt to come out. From the beginning, he was straight forward, friendly and professional. We chose our tiles and finish, were informed of the prices and scheduled when the work was to be done. We were met with no surprises at all. The work stages were completed as scheduled, all the crews were friendly, and professional. They answered all our questions and cleaned up when they were done.

We hired Adams Pool to install new plaster and tile in our 30 year old pool. They were highly recommended by friends and quoted the best price among several companies that we spoke to. They started our project promptly, and proceeded very quickly. Throughout the process, they were responsive and helpful. Work crews were friendly, efficient and scrupulous about cleaning up and showing care not to disturb landscaping, etc.

The workers were hardworking, timely, as quiet as they could be, and did a wonderful job, keeping workplace clean as they went. Billing was easy and efficient. All in all they did a top notch job and we are extremely pleased with everything.

Thank you to Rodger and the rest of the crew at Adams Pools! My wife and I were very impressed with everything from your workmanship to your follow through. Our pool and spa turned out exactly as we had designed and we can't thank you enough for making this happen. We appreciate that your crew were always friendly and it's obvious your company takes good care of them.

Just had our pool rebuilt by Adams Pool. Fill in to reduce depth to four feet, chip out old plaster and replace with Adams Pebble Plus (similar to Pebble Tech) and replace deck edge with travertine. The sales staff was very expert and helpful, no pressure at all. Turned out beautiful. The crews were very professional, everyone knew exactly what to do and the work is first class.

Clues That Your Diamond Springs Pool Needs Attention

Out here, pools often go years between professional inspections, so problems can sneak up. Watch for these common indicators.

  • Scale buildup from well water
  • Etched or pitted plaster
  • Discolored or dull tile
  • Cracks near steps and corners
  • Frequent unexplained water loss
  • Surfaces rough on bare feet

Rural properties on wells face mineral challenges that town water systems do not, which makes these signs appear faster in Diamond Springs than in many valley communities.

Renovating Pools Fed by Foothill Well Water

Plenty of Diamond Springs homes draw from private wells, and that water carries minerals straight from the same geology that once drew miners here. Calcium and metals deposit on plaster and tile over time, leaving scale, stains, and rough patches that no amount of brushing fully removes. Once a finish is saturated with minerals, resurfacing is the real fix.

We strip compromised surfaces, treat metal staining in the shell, and install finishes formulated to resist mineral uptake. New tile and updated plumbing lines complete the renovation, and we can advise on fill-water treatment so the fresh surface stays pristine for decades on well-fed properties.

Room to Dream on Larger Rural Lots

One advantage Diamond Springs homeowners have over their valley neighbors is space. Larger lots mean a renovation can be about more than repair. Many clients expand decking, add outdoor living areas around the pool, or integrate the renovated pool into a broader landscape plan with native foothill plantings.

Our team handles both the pool and the landscape, which keeps the design cohesive and the project on one schedule. We favor water-wise plantings and efficient equipment so the finished space suits El Dorado County’s dry summers as beautifully as it suits your family.

A Story From Diamond Springs

A longtime resident named Frank asked us to look at the pool behind his home off Pleasant Valley Road, built by the previous owner sometime in the 1980s and fed by the property’s well ever since. The plaster had absorbed so much iron over the years that the whole pool carried a rusty tint no chemical treatment could touch.

We drained it, treated the shell, resurfaced with a mineral-resistant pebble finish, and replaced the tired brown tile with a crisp glass mosaic. Frank stood at the deep end after the refill and said it was the first time in fifteen years he could see the drain clearly. That is the kind of before and after we live for.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does well water require special renovation planning?
It does. Mineral-heavy well water stains and scales finishes faster, so we select resistant surfaces and can recommend fill-water treatment to protect your new investment.
Yes. During renovation we treat the shell to neutralize metal staining before resurfacing, which prevents old discoloration from bleeding through the new finish.
Minimally. Larger Diamond Springs lots usually give our crews easy access, and we coordinate equipment and material staging to keep your property tidy throughout.
Yes, and it often should be. Combining both projects keeps the design unified and avoids tearing up finished work later.
Once the pool is refilled and startup chemistry is balanced, typically within about a week of the fill, your pool is ready to enjoy.
